Imigresen FC Fight Back To Beat DPMM FC 3-1 In Kangar Clash

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 (Bernama) -- Imigresen FC produced a spirited comeback to defeat DPMM FC 3-1 in a rain-affected 2025-26 Super League match at the Tuanku Syed Putra Stadium in Kangar tonight.

DPMM FC stunned the home crowd when Jordan Murray struck as early as the 10th minute, capitalising on a cautious start by the hosts amid light drizzle that slowed the tempo of play.

However, Imigresen responded almost immediately, with Wilmar Jordan restoring parity just three minutes later to ignite the hosts’ resurgence, and the momentum swung firmly in their favour after the break when Fadzrul Danel Nizam slotted home in the 51st minute to take the lead.

Buoyed by the lead, Imigresen FC took control of the contest, dictating play and limiting DPMM’s attacking threats before Mohammad Fayadh Mohd Zulkifli Amin sealed the victory with a late strike in the 90th minute.

Referee Mohammad Zamzaidi Katimin brought the match to a close moments later, confirming Imigresen FC’s deserved 3-1 win and extending their encouraging run in the league.

The victory keeps Imigresen in sixth place in the Super League standings with 28 points, while DPMM remain eighth on 23 points.

In another fixture, Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) were left ruing missed opportunities after being held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Melaka FC at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi.

Both sides showed attacking intent from the outset, but a combination of wasteful finishing and resolute defending ensured the deadlock remained intact at halftime.

NSFC stepped up their intensity in the second half and looked the more threatening side, yet their golden opportunity slipped away when Joseph Esso failed to convert from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.

The hosts continued to press and came agonisingly close to breaking the deadlock in the 78th minute, only for Takumi Sasaki’s powerful effort to crash against the post.

Despite sustained pressure from the Hobin Jang Hobin squad, Melaka FC held firm to earn a point, with both teams ultimately settling for a share of the spoils after a goalless stalemate.
