KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (Bernama) -- Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd is prioritising efforts to support fuel supply continuity within its retail network, in line with the government’s recent announcement.
However, it said while it is working hard to support consistent supply of fuels at its stations, there may be temporary peaks in demand, resulting in temporary shortfall of fuels at a few stations.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to our customers and will be working to restore supply to affected stations as soon as possible,” it said in a statement today.
Recently, Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said the National Economic Action Council has studied measures to diversify fuel input sources, strengthen strategic cooperation with key trading partners, and ensure the security of production inputs amid the global energy crisis.
He said the government is focusing on the resilience of the nation’s supply.
