CGS MY Completes RM94.5 Mln YTL Hospitality REIT Private Placement

KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (Bernama) -- CGS International Securities Malaysia Sdn Bhd (CGS MY) has completed the RM94.5 million private placement for YTL Hospitality REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust), where CGS MY acted as the principal adviser and sole bookrunner for the transaction.

In a statement, the integrated financial services provider said the placement attracted strong interest from institutional investors. 

“The order book was primarily driven by CGS MY’s institutional client base, with participation from both local and foreign funds. 

“Insurance companies and asset managers formed the bulk of the bids received,” it said.

The firm said the strong demand for the placement reflects continued investor confidence in YTL Hospitality REIT’s portfolio and growth prospects, as well as the resilience of Malaysia’s hospitality and tourism sector as travel activity continues to normalise across the region.

“We are pleased to have supported YTL Hospitality REIT on this private placement and to see such encouraging demand from institutional investors.

“The participation from both domestic and foreign funds, particularly insurance companies and asset managers, demonstrates sustained investor appetite for high-quality Malaysian REIT assets,” said CGS MY country head Alan Inn Wei Loon.
