SIBU, June 20 (Bernama) -- The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) in Sibu will organise a mobile Rahmah Sale at the Bawang Assan Community Hall, here, tomorrow (Saturday, June 21).
Irene Wong, special assistant to Sibu MP Oscar Ling Chai Yew, said the mobile sale will offer a variety of selected daily necessities at special prices to reduce the burden on the people’s cost of living.
“The sale has received overwhelming response from the community as it directly benefits consumers by offering quality goods at lower prices,” she said in a statement today.
The sale will run from 9 am to 2 pm, but may end earlier if the stock runs out.
“The concept is first come, first served, so the public is advised to come early for a better selection of goods,” she said.
Wong said the mobile Rahmah sale by KPDN in Sibu is usually held in rural areas or settlements far from the town centre, including longhouses, to ensure that rural residents also benefit from the government’s welfare programme.
“Residents, especially around Bawang Assan, are urged not to miss the opportunity to purchase daily necessities at affordable prices,” she said.
