KUCHING, Dec 8 -- The young generation must appreciate and treasure the peace and harmony of the Christmas celebration, said Bandar Kuching MP, Dr Kelvin Yii.
He said, Sarawakians have the unique culture which, comes with various religions and races but are able live harmoniously together with respect for each other's celebrations.
"So for young people, my advice to you is to let us treasure this harmony and let us treasure this peace in Sarawak and Malaysia.
“During this season, besides spending a good time with the family members, we must share out the Christmas spirit that brings love and peace to everyone because this will help us to build a better country,” he said when officiating REDfm Christmas ‘An Evening With REDfm DJs’ special stage show at The Spring, here, tonight.
In the event, Dr Kelvin Yii who represented Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Chong Chieng Jen presented school stationery to 20 children from the Salvation Army.
