SHAH ALAM, Sept 19 -- The Selangor enforcement division of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (MDTCA) detained three men and seized 279 gas cylinders and 4,632 kg of subsidised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in a raid at the Bukit OUG Industrial Business Park, Kuala Lumpur, yesterday.
Its director, Muhamad Zikril Azan Abdullah the raid was conducted at about 5 pm after a two-week surveillance.
He said the seizures comprised 33 units of 12kg cylinders, 224 units of 14kg cylinders and 22 units of 50kg cylinders.
However, only 151 of the cylinders were filled with LPG, he said in a statement here today.
He said two workers and the premise owner were detained to facilitate investigations.
