KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 30 (Bernama) -- Pocky has introduced a brand-new flavour inspired by local delight, Cendol - exclusive to Malaysia - as a token of appreciation to Malaysians for their support and loyalty over the years.
The new flavour will have the classic Pocky sticks coated with Cendol-infused cream, according to a statement.
“The urge and common thought of savouring the dessert (Cendol) shared among the locals inspired us to develop the flavour. We knew this was a flavour that truly embodies the Malaysian culture,” said Glico Malaysia marketing executive, Candice Teng.
“Pocky Cendol brings out the original taste of the Malaysian delight savoured with a pretzel stick. We hope this brand-new flavour will allow Pocky to share happiness with Malaysians and make Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations extra special this year,” she added.
Originating from Japan, the irresistible snack has elevated the lives of Malaysians through its diverse portfolio of flavours that can be enjoyed with friends, family and co-workers - anyone, anytime, anywhere.
The new Pocky Cendol can be found at all convenience stores and major supermarkets nationwide until stocks last. All Pocky products manufactured in Thailand are Halal certified.
