KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 (Bernama) -- Technology start-up company, Pulsifi Sdn Bhd, is banking on its artificial intelligence (AI) technology solutions to penetrate the European Union (EU) market this year, particularly in offering human resource structural solutions related to employee recruitment.

Founder, Peter Yoong said through the adoption of AI, Pulsifi would be able to convert data from across the Internet and inside organisations, creating profiles of employees and potential employees, including traits such as competencies, personality and passion.

"Usually, in the hiring process, most HR professionals would use a CV (curriculum vitae) which provides the hard skills and education background as foundation. They often rush into hiring people because the technology sector is very competitive. In the end, it is difficult for them to advance as they are not hiring the right people for the right job because they rushed.

"In Pulsifi, we look at people holistically. We call it a multi-dimensional approach. We use our HR AI's technology to evaluate people from dimensional basis, which not only covers information from the CVs, but also understanding them from a personality and value basis, as well as, their job interest.

"This can help empower HR professionals to make sharper data-driven people decisions on staffing, retention and development," Yong told Bernama.

Optimistic after gaining some clients in this region since its inception in 2016, he felt the time was right to expand the business to the EU and, possibly, the United States and Australia eventually, with the target of capturing more companies with innovative mindset including multinational companies (MNCs) and larger organisations with over 5,000 employees.

Yoong, an entrepreneur himself for over 20 years, also noted that the adoption of the company’s technology would greatly benefit corporations in terms of quality of employment, cost and time.

Citing the example of one clinet, Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd, he said the MNC was able to improve the quality of its hiring process up to 100 per cent, saved about 70 per cent in cost and reduced hiring time to about three days from three weeks, previously.

"We work with our clients to create the Big Data to evaluate people. The AI is able to generate word cloud, map the candidate's interest and is even capable of making predictive signs based on the candidate's language tone and style, among others," said Yoong.

Meanwhile, in line with Pulsifi's expansion plan, Yoong said the company was in the midst of raising funds and was likely to double the number of its employees within a year from the current 200 people.

Pulsifi has built partnerships with the top technology providers in the world including SAP, IBM and Amazon Web Services and had undertaken projects in Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Japan, among others.

He said besides working with MNCs and large corporations, it had also collaborated with the Singapore government in certain areas and hoped similar opportunities, in improving the HR industry, would arise with Malaysian government bodies.
