KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 (Bernama) -- Gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today tracking the COMEX gold futures.
At the close, the spot month May 2024 contract was down to US$2,319.0 per troy ounce from US$2,326.60 at Wednesday’s close.
The June 2024, July 2024, August 2024, October 2024 and December 2024 contracts all settled lower at US$2,328.90 per troy ounce compared to US$2,336.50 on Wednesday.
Volume was down to 17 lots from 28 yesterday while open interest decreased to 52 contracts from 61.
According to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on May 8, the price of physical gold stood at US$2,309.05 per troy ounce.
