KUALA TERENGGANU, June 7 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) of Terengganu has been encouraged to expand its network of strategic collaborations with various agencies at the state level.
MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman said the approach was important for enhancing the effectiveness of programme implementation and service delivery to the public.
“The good relationship between MACC and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) must continue to be strengthened as the close cooperation between the two agencies plays an important role in supporting the implementation of enforcement duties more effectively,” he said in a statement today after chairing the Terengganu MACC Performance Meeting with the MACC Chief Commissioner at the Terengganu MACC office here.
Abdul Halim also urged MACC personnel in the state to continue to increase the number of talks and awareness programmes in primary and secondary schools to foster the value of integrity in the younger generation.
Meanwhile, he also expressed his appreciation for the commitment and dedication of Terengganu MACC personnel, who had successfully carried out their responsibilities with excellence and achieved the set targets, as presented at the meeting.
He said the achievements in operational performance, organisational management, governance initiatives and the implementation of community education programmes from 2025 to May 2026 demonstrated the strong commitment of Terengganu MACC personnel in strengthening the integrity agenda and raising anti-corruption awareness in the state.
Also present at the meeting were Terengganu MACC director Hazrul Shazreen Abd Yazid and Terengganu MACC (Prevention) deputy director Suryani Ali.
