PUTRAJAYA, June 3 (Bernama) -- The National TVET Day 2026 celebration will take place at Dataran Putrajaya from this Friday (June 5) until June 7 as a national platform to strengthen the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) ecosystem and increase public awareness of its role in developing the nation's human capital.
The National TVET Council Secretariat, Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, said in a statement today that the celebration, themed "TVET: The Top Career Choice," will bring together ministries, government agencies, public and private TVET institutions, industry players, entrepreneurs, students, and the community.
According to the statement, various exciting and interactive activities will be held across six main hubs, including TVET and technology exhibitions, industry seminars, the TVET Career Carnival, entrepreneurship programs, skills competitions, robotics, drone soccer, the Future Skills Showcase, TVET Idol, e-sports, as well as various leisure activities and informative entertainment for the whole family.
"This event also serves as a platform to strengthen strategic cooperation between TVET institutions and the industry to ensure the development of national talent aligns with current and future job market demands centered on technology, innovation, and skills," the statement read.
The National TVET Council Secretariat noted that TVET continues to show positive growth, recording an overall enrollment of 459,558 students, while the employability rate of TVET graduates increased to 95.9 percent in 2025.
According to the statement, this growth proves that TVET is increasingly trusted by society as a primary pathway to building high-skilled careers and a brighter future.
The public, especially students, parents, youth, and job seekers, are invited to liven up National TVET Day 2026, which runs from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm throughout the three-day event.
