KUANTAN, May 29 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have extended National Journalists’ Day (HAWANA) 2026 greetings to media practitioners and journalists across the country.
In a post on the Kesultanan Pahang Facebook page, the royal couple expressed appreciation for the dedication and sacrifices of journalists committed to delivering accurate, credible and trustworthy information to the public.
Their Royal Highnesses also highly valued the role of the media as an important platform for strengthening unity, fostering patriotism and serving as a bridge between the government and the people.
“Their Royal Highnesses hope that media practitioners will continue to uphold ethical, professional and responsible journalism in line with technological developments and the evolving challenges of today’s communications landscape,” the post read.
At the same time, the royal couple prayed that all journalists and media practitioners would be blessed with well-being and safety, and continue to excel in carrying out their responsibilities to religion, nation and country.
