JOHOR BAHRU, May 26 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) has the space, authority, and appropriate cooperation to conduct any form of training in Johor, said the Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.
The Regent said such training is very important in strengthening operational readiness, enhancing capabilities, and refining the skills needed to defend the safety and sovereignty of the country.
In this regard, Tunku Mahkota Ismail assured that the Johor Royal Institution and the state government will continue to provide full support for these efforts.
"I stand firm with the MAF and my unwavering support will always be with the country's military personnel in any situation.
"All the sacrifices, dedication, and services rendered by the members of the MAF in defending the country must always be respected and appreciated," the Regent said in a post on the official Facebook page of HRH Crown Prince of Johor, today.
Tunku Mahkota Ismail decreed that military personnel should not face unnecessary obstacles in carrying out training and operational exercises that are crucial for the defence and readiness of the nation.
"There should also be no biased treatment towards any particular unit or regiment because every individual who wears the uniform serves with full honour, loyalty and sacrifice, and is deserving of the highest respect and recognition.
"My support is not only limited to those who are still in service but also extends to retired or soon-to-be-retired military personnel. The doors of Johor will always be open to them as a sign of appreciation for their invaluable sacrifices and contributions to the country," Tunku Mahkota Ismail said.
The National Security Council (MKN) today announced that MAF military training will be conducted in close collaboration with state governments and relevant agencies to ensure its implementation is orderly, safe, and prudent in line with national security interests and the well-being of the people.
