KUALA LUMPUR, May 21 (Bernama) -- AEON CO (M) BHD (AEON) marked a new milestone with the unveiling of several key retail partners for its upcoming AEON Mall KL Midtown, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of this year.
Located within the KL Metropolis precinct, the development will be AEON’s 28th mall in Malaysia and is expected to enhance the retail and lifestyle landscape in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
The announcement was made during the ‘AEON Mall KL Midtown Hard Hat Party’ held at Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur today, attended by representatives from participating brands, business partners and stakeholders.
Confirmed tenants announced at the event included Oriental Kopi, Dolly Dim Sum, Sushiro, Verrona Hills Bakery & Patisserie, KOMEHYO, Seiko Vision Specialist, Omakase Lab and Luxe Hair & Nail, with more brands expected to be revealed ahead of the launch.
AEON managing director Tsugutoshi Seko said the strong participation from established brands reflected positive leasing momentum and growing confidence in the project.
"AEON Mall KL Midtown represents an important addition to our portfolio as we continue strengthening our presence in key growth areas across Malaysia.
"The response from retail partners has been encouraging and it speaks to the confidence in the mall’s positioning and long-term potential within KL Metropolis," he said in his speech at the event.
Seko said that as the first mall within a development of this scale, AEON aimed to create a destination that serves the surrounding community by combining convenience with meaningful lifestyle experiences.
Guests were also updated on the mall’s progress, including leasing plans, marketing strategies, tenant design coordination and customer engagement initiatives.
The event featured an exclusive site visit, offering attendees an early preview of the development ahead of its completion.
AEON said the mall is expected to further strengthen the retail offering in the area and contribute to a more vibrant commercial and lifestyle environment in Kuala Lumpur city centre.
