PUTRAJAYA, April 4 (Bernama) -- MADANI Berkhidmat: Misi Sukarelawan Siswa ke Sarawak 2026, an initiative by Yayasan Sukarelawan Siswa, began yesterday and will run until April 20.
National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said the initiative would be implemented across several locations, namely Miri (Telang Usan and Bario), Sibu (Kanowit), Kapit (Song), Sri Aman (Melugu), as well as Betong and Batang Lupar (Pusa).
He said that the spirit of volunteerism should extend beyond charitable work and serve as a platform to bridge gaps between different races, religions, regions, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Active participation in community activities encourages people to understand and respect one another, while building trust that forms a solid foundation for national unity, he said in a statement here today.
According to Aaron, the mission involved various high-impact activities, including community education programmes, youth development, social services and initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of local residents.
He expressed confidence that the effort would help cultivate a culture of volunteerism among youth and act as a driving force for a united, progressive, and resilient nation.
