KOTA BHARU, Feb 25 (Bernama) – The TikTok Shop LIVE Hub in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, has been officially launched through a strategic collaboration between TikTok Shop and TEKUN Nasional to empower local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This marks the fourth TikTok Shop LIVE Hub in Malaysia, following successful rollouts in Sabah, Kuala Lumpur and Johor.
Nur Azre Abdul Aziz, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, TikTok Shop Malaysia, said: "The launch of the hub in Kelantan reinforces our commitment to building an inclusive digital ecosystem, supported by our investment of nearly RM3 million allocated since last year for the development of TikTok Shop LIVE Hubs across six states in Malaysia. We deeply appreciate the support from TEKUN Nasional, which has enabled us to provide the necessary Shoppertainment infrastructure to help MSMEs scale by mastering the craft of livestreaming."
Datuk Adam bin Abd Ghani, Chief Executive Officer of TEKUN Nasional, added: "This initiative goes beyond providing a physical space. It represents a strategic collaboration to ensure local entrepreneurs are equipped to produce competitive content and drive tangible economic impact. Our close partnership with TikTok Shop is critical to ensuring Kelantan's MSMEs remain competitive in the digital economy. We are confident that TikTok Shop's inclusive ecosystem will continue to drive sustainable growth and support entrepreneurs in building strong, resilient brands."
The TikTok Shop LIVE Hub in Kelantan provides access to two fully equipped studios featuring advanced production tools, including high-resolution 27-inch professional monitors, green screens, noise-cancelling microphones, and other technology designed to support high-quality content creation. These facilities are intended to help local entrepreneurs generate income and strengthen their online businesses within the TikTok Shop ecosystem.
In addition, consultation sessions, technical support, and high-speed internet access are available to accelerate digital adoption among local MSMEs and enhance their content creation capabilities. These services are designed to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their digital transformation journey, making it easier for them to connect with online shoppers nationwide.
In conjunction with the launch, TikTok Shop and TEKUN Nasional have trained more than 120 Kelantan-based entrepreneurs through recent promotional and e-commerce workshops. Participating entrepreneurs collectively generated over RM500,000 in sales within three months following the programme.
