24/02/2026 09:48 PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 (Bernama) -- The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has been directed to investigate several service disruptions involving the Kelana Jaya LRT line at the start of Ramadan.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the agency has also been asked to take action against Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) should there be evidence of unreasonable operational weaknesses.

"I view the several incidents of disruption involving the Kelana Jaya LRT service at the start of Ramadan seriously. The people have the right to demand a more efficient and reliable quality of service," he said in a Facebook post tonight.

Loke added that he has instructed Prasarana chief executive officer Amir Hamdan to provide an explanation during the post-Cabinet meeting, along with an immediate recovery action plan.

Frequent technical glitches on the Kelana Jaya LRT line during peak hours continue to draw complaints from commuters, with the latest incident this morning causing overcrowding at most stations and unusual congestion.
