KSN’s Sekolah Angkat MADANI SK Batu Laut Gets New Facilities To Support PPKI

12/02/2026 03:14 PM

KUALA LANGAT, Feb 12 (Bernama) -- New facilities to enhance the Special Education Integration Programme (PPKI) at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Batu Laut here were officially handed over under the Sekolah Angkat MADANI initiative by Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

The new facilities feature an expanded and upgraded PPKI room, replacing the previous 20 by 20 foot space, which had been divided to accommodate Level One and Level Two students.

SK Batu Laut headmaster Fadhlah Afif Talib said the previous arrangement had made the classroom cramped and less conducive, particularly for students with conditions such as autism, learning disabilities, and dyslexia.

“The new 30 by 20 feet room allows students to learn in a more comfortable and organised setting, which will have a positive impact on their concentration and development,” he told Bernama after the Sekolah Angkat MADANI launching ceremony here today.

The PPKI at SK Batu Laut currently accommodates 25 students aged between seven and 13.

Fadhlah Afif said that, in addition to the PPKI, Year Two classrooms also benefited from more comfortable learning facilities following the recent upgrades.

The improvements included repairing damaged and cracked floors, reinstalling fans, enhancing the lighting system, carrying out painting work, and installing new windows.

“On behalf of the teachers of SK Batu Laut, I would like to thank the KSN for this initiative. It will certainly benefit all school staff and add comfort and enjoyment for all 427 students here,” said Fadhlah Afif, who has been the school’s headmaster for two years.

The Sekolah Angkat MADANI initiative follows Shamsul Azri’s visit to the school in December 2024 and underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to continuously improving educational facilities in rural schools.

Earlier, Shamsul Azri, who was accompanied by Education Director-General Datuk Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad, spent nearly an hour with the school staff and mingled with the students at SK Batu Laut.
