KUANTAN, Dec 19 (Bernama) -- The Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar went to the ground to look into the condition of flood victims housed at temporary relief centres (PPS) here, yesterday.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Shamsul Azri said he spent time at several centres to see for himself the situation of flood victims and to hand over assistance.
“I managed to stop by the PPS at Sekolah Kebangsaan Pandan and Taman Tas to provide some assistance to the flood victims,” according to the post.
Shamsul Azri also expressed his appreciation to the officers and volunteers assisting flood victims.
“Thank you to all the officers and volunteers who worked hard to provide assistance. I pray that all your tasks will be made easier and that you will be safe,” he said in the same post.
As of 8.30 am this morning, Pahang recorded 13,472 flood victims from 4,437 families who were placed in 81 PPS in six districts, namely Kuantan, Maran, Rompin, Pekan, Jerantut and Lipis.
