KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 11 (Bernama) -- There are fewer flood evacuees seeking shelter at temporary relief centres in Sarawak and Perak this morning, compared to last night.
In SARAWAK, a total of 140 people, comprising 136 flood evacuees and four landslide victims, are still housed at three centres in Miri at 8 am today, down from 152 people last night.
According to the Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) Secretariat report, a total of 109 flood victims are placed at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Suai Niah, while 23 others are sheltering at SK Kampung Angus.
In addition, four flood victims and four landslide victims are housed at the Dewan Bulan Sabit Merah relief centre.
In PERAK, a total of 83 people are still housed at two centres in Hilir Perak this morning, compared to 111 last night.
The Perak SDMC Secretariat said 52 people are sheltering at the Kampung Padang Tembak Multipurpose Hall relief centre, while 31 others are at the Hilir Perak Police Headquarters Multipurpose Hall centre.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of a storm in all districts in Perak this afternoon, except for Kerian, Manjung, Hilir Perak and Bagan Datu.
