SEPANG, July 10 (Bernama) -- European Union (EU) representative to ASEAN high-level talks Kaja Kallas arrived in Malaysia on Thursday to attend a series of meetings held in conjunction with the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM).
Kallas, who is the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, will participate in the 32nd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting on Friday, alongside ASEAN foreign ministers and dialogue partners to exchange views on regional and global security issues.
While in Malaysia’s capital, she will hold bilateral meetings with various international and regional counterparts and participate in the ASEAN-EU Post-Ministerial Conference.
The ongoing 58th AMM and related meetings are being held under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship for 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, with the theme ‘Inclusivity and Sustainability’.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar was among those who arrived earlier on Thursday.
Meanwhile, British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs David Lammy arrived at 5.10 pm, making him the last foreign minister to arrive on Thursday for the series of high-level meetings.
