KOTA BHARU, July 2 (Bernama) -- The Kelantan government hopes its views will be taken into account in the appointment of Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad’s replacement as the Kelantan State Development Action Council’s joint chairman, said Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan.
“At present, we have not received any notification, but if the federal government intends to appoint his (Nik Nazmi’s) replacement, we hope the state government’s views will also be taken into account and there will be involvement from our side.
“In my view, Nik Nazmi is a good person, but matters related to his resignation are between him and his party,” he told reporters at the Kota Darulnaim Complex here today.
On May 28, Nik Nazmi announced that he had submitted his resignation letter to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. It will take effect on Friday.
