KOTA KINABALU, May 6 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) will organise the TEKUN MADANI Carnival and One District One Industry (SDSI) MADANI Showcase in conjunction with Pesta Kaamatan (harvest festival) in Kuala Penyu from May 10 to 12.
Its minister, Datuk Ewon Benedick said in conjunction with Pesta Kaamatan, agencies under KUSKOP, will hold an exhibition as well as open service counters to provide information on entrepreneurship and cooperatives, among others.
"During the carnival also, we will launch the Tamu Desa project for Sabah," he said in a statement today.
Ewon hoped the public who visit the carnival will take this opportunity to obtain information on entrepreneurship development, especially funding, grants, training, and international promotions delivered by agencies under KUSKOP.
"I hope that through this initiative, the celebration of the Pesta Kaamatan will not only be a cultural event but will also become a platform to build and develop the nation's entrepreneurial and cooperative movement," he added.
According to him, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor is scheduled to officiate the carnival on May 11.
