Aim Wins Global Islamic Finance Awards

KUALA LUMPUR, May 1 (Bernama) -- Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) was named Best Islamic Microfinance Institution by Islamic Finance News (IFN) after receiving two awards under the Global Good Governance Awards (3G Awards).

Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk R. Ramanan, in a sharing on his official Facebook, said the (two) awards were for the 3G Leadership Award for Microfinance 2024 and 3G Excellence in Women Award 2024.

“Congratulations to AIM for once again being honoured at the global level by winning two prestigious awards in the Islamic global finance industry,” he said.

“I am proud of the recognition that AIM has received at the international level which proves AIM's ability and capability in excellent organisational governance, and its role in empowering local women."

He said receiving the award is proof and recognition of AIM's excellence, achievements, and leadership in the Islamic finance industry.

According to Ramanan, he is confident as well as believes the award represents the result of hard work and solid commitment of all staff supported by strategic partners who continue to provide good cooperation for AIM.

He also recorded his thanks to all AIM employees, led by managing director (MD) Mohamed Shamir Abdul Aziz as well as AIM entrepreneurs nationwide.

According to the post, REDmoney Group/IFN MD Andrew Morgan presented the award to Sabah operations division director Alwani Safiei at the Address Sky View in Dubai on April 25.

As for the 3G awards, AIM represented by deputy MD (operations) Jani Izwandy Che Jan received the two awards presented by Global Good Governance Programme chairman Prof Humayon Dar at the Shangri-La The Fort Manila in the Philippines on April 29.
