KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) -- Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) and Chamrun Digital Group conducted a training programme on Empowering Public Sector Leadership with Artificial Intelligence: Transforming Operations and Strategy for senior government officers from various ministries and government agencies.
The six-day training programme, ideated by the Public Service Department (JPA) and held in Langkawi, explored practical applications of AI by focusing on project management, creative thinking, and streamlining processes.
UNIRAZAK chief executive officer (CEO) Amil Izham Hamzah, in his welcoming speech, said that AI is not just about observing the future, but actively moulding it.
“Through AI and data analytics, we are paving the path towards a more efficient, transparent, and responsive public sector,” he was quoted as saying in a statement issued by the university today.
Meanwhile, Chamrun Digital CEO and Adjunct Professor at UNIRAZAK, Dr. Behrang Parhizkar said the initiative marks the step towards a future where AI and public service converge.
"We are thrilled to pioneer this initiative in collaboration with UNIRAZAK. This training is not just about acquiring knowledge. It is about empowering our public sector professionals with the tools and expertise needed to thrive in the age of AI,” he said.
During the programme, five new AI assistants to help public sector workers overcome specific challenges were developed, namely Cikgu Murni AI, GSC.ai, Intellectual Property AI, EGA.ai and Learning Companion, all designed with GPT-4.0 technology.
He said the five AI assistants will soon be available to the public, thus expanding access to empower all Malaysians to experience the power of AI and set new benchmarks for excellence in public service.
“As the training programme progresses, UNIRAZAK and Chamrun Digital remain committed to collaborating with public sector stakeholders to drive innovation and excellence in governance,” he said.
