Bernama-organised 'melaka Explorace 2024' In Tmm2024 Calendar

ALOR GAJAH, March 2 (Bernama) -- The 'Melaka Explorace 2024', a treasure hunt organised by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), will be included in the Visit Melaka 2024 (TMM2024) calendar.

State Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Communications Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Noor Helmy Abdul Halem said the hunt, which will involve about 300 participants, will be held in June.

“We expect it to be a one-day programme that will have a significant impact on the economy of the surrounding areas involved.

“The state government supports this programme, with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh himself committing and supporting it by making it part of TMM2024,” he said.

He said this when met at the Bernama Family Day held at PARKROYAL A’Famosa Melaka Resort in Simpang Ampat here tonight.

Also present were Bernama Chief Executive Officer Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, Bernama Editor-in-Chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj, Bernama Deputy Editor-in-Chief (News Services) Nasriah Darus and Bernama Staff Club Chairman Roslan Ariffin.

Meanwhile, Nur-ul Afida said there will be three categories for the treasure hunt, involving the public, media practitioners and Melaka government agencies.

She said participants will explore Melaka using vehicles, trishaws and by foot as they hunt for answers and treasures.

“We will try to incorporate elements related to Melaka in this competition, and I hope it will attract the attention of many media practitioners, the public, and also staff of state government agencies.

“Insya-Allah, there will be attractive prizes, and we hope the state government will also provide support in that aspect,” she said.
