JOHOR BAHRU, Feb 17 (Bernama) -- The recent reshuffle of the Johor state executive council portfolios will not affect any of the state’s plans and programmes, including those presented in the Johor Budget 2024, according to State Unity, Heritage, and Culture Committee chairman K.Raven Kumar.
Raven Kumar, who was also involved in the recent portfolio changes, said all the state plans would proceed as usual, and any changes would be discussed among the relevant council members.
“In Johor, what we want to ensure is that whatever the Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi announced during the unveiling of the Johor Budget 2024 will continue.
“Any ideas or changes will be discussed because the mandate given needs to be continued, and that is the most important thing,” he told newsmen after officiating the Harmony Programme in conjunction with the Chinese New Year 2024 celebrations at the Fo Guan Shan Hsing Mi Temple here today.
Also present was Ling Tian Soon, the State Health and Environment Committee chairman, who previously held the unity portfolio. Ling said he and Raven Kumar would have a meeting on Monday to discuss all the plans made while holding their respective portfolios.
Onn Hafiz announced on Feb13 the restructuring of the portfolios, with Tanjung Surat assemblyman Aznan Tamin being sworn as the newest member.
