KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- Datuk Prof Dr Razli Che Razak has been reappointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) for a one-year term, effective this Friday until Nov 23 next year.
The Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) in statement said Razli's reappointment is to allow him to continue the planning and implementation of initiatives that have been outlined to drive UMK as a university focused on entrepreneurial and enterprise education.
"The ministry is confident that Razli's reappointment as vice-chancellor will be able to strengthen and produce a holistic model of human capital that characterises entrepreneurship and balance, to ensure the nation's economy is robust and competitive," read the statement.
Razli, who holds a PhD in Operations Management from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), was appointed as vice-chancellor of UMK on March 1, 2022.
In the same statement MOHE also announced that USM Health Campus director, Prof Dr Shaharum Shamsuddin and University of Malaya (UM) Engineering Faculty dean, Prof Dr Kaharuddin Dimyati, have been appointed as USM deputy vice-chancellor (Student Affairs) and UM deputy vice-chancellor (Research and Innovation) respectively.
Both appointments will take effect from Dec 1.
