KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 21 (Bernama) -- Bernama Radio won the Best in Public Service Announcements for Radio Award at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Star Rating Awards 2021 tonight.
The award, which was presented by the Secretary General of Communications and Digital Ministry Datuk Seri Mohammad Mentek, was received by Bernama Radio News manager Endok Baleana Bachok.
Endok Baleana when met after the ceremony described the award as an outstanding achievement and a great way to wrap up the year 2022.
“My hope is for the radio to continue to prosper and excel and to be able to further expand reach in radio listenership throughout the country,” she said.
The ceremony was also attended by Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil, Deputy Communications and Digital Minister Teo Nie Ching and MCMC chief operating officer Datuk Mohd Ali Hanafiah Mohd Yunus.
The MCMC Star Rating Awards 2021 was held to honour the telecommunications, broadcasting and courier industries that have played an important role in providing services to the people while ensuring socio-economic growth.
Meanwhile, MCMC chief regulatory officer Zulkarnain Mohd Yasin said the award ceremony was aimed at giving a star rating to services from three sectors, namely the telecommunications, broadcasting and courier industries.
“We know that this rating is important to enable these industries to improve the quality of their services and user satisfaction,” he said.
