KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- The African missions in Malaysia have congratulated Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on his appointment as Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister yesterday, said Somalia’s ambassador to Malaysia and Dean of the African Heads of Missions in Malaysia Abukar Abdi Osman.
Abukar in a statement to Bernama Friday assured the commitment of African missions in Malaysia to strengthen their bilateral cooperation with Malaysia under Anwar’s leadership.
Abukar said they wished Anwar and the people of Malaysia peace, prosperity and success.
“Your Excellency, I, as the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Dean of the African Heads of Missions in Malaysia, extend with great honour and best wishes my sincere congratulations on your appointment as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia”.
“May Allah bless the Government and People of Malaysia,” said Abukar.
Currently there are 19 African missions in Malaysia.
