KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 20 (Bernama) -- Traffic flow on some of the country's main highways as of 5 pm today is reported to be slow due to a rise in vehicles heading to the nation's capital, as people return to their respective destinations after voting in the 15th general election (GE15) yesterday.
A Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesperson said traffic was slow-moving for three kilometres leading to the Karak toll plaza, from the Karak intersection to Bentong toll plaza until Lentang, Bukit Tinggi to Genting Sempah and from the Gombak Rest and Service area (R&R) to Gombak toll plaza.
"Also, slow traffic was reported at Yong Peng to Machap, Simpang Renggam to Sedenak, Bukit Gambir to Jasin, Pedas Linggi to Senawang and then to Port Dickson Junction," he said when contacted by Bernama.
Southbound traffic is also reported to be slow at Permatang Pauh to Perai, Bukit Gantang to Bukit Berapit, Kuala Kangsar to the Sungai Perak R&R, Menora Tunnel to Ipoh, Ipoh to Simpang Pulai R&R and Rawang to Sungai Buloh.
