MARIGOLD UHT Milk donates more than 40,000 milk packs to underserved children

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 4 (Bernama) -- MARIGOLD, a dairy product processing beverage company is on a mission to ensure children living in underserved, low-income communities receive the necessary nutrition they need.

Malaysia Milk Sdn Bhd general manager, Poh Eng Lip said, as part of the brand’s campaign initiative, Grow with Every Challenge, MARIGOLD has teamed up with Peoples Housing Programme (PPR) to distribute approximately 43,000 packs of 200 (ml) MARIGOLD UHT Milk to support families with young children in the B40 group.

“Access to nutrition is an universal right and as such, working with PPR provides us with the right access to support the B40 community in a meaningful way,” he said in a statement, Monday.

Poh said, the platform aims to connect isolated communities with impactors through social innovation and collective impact creation especially when it comes to children and nutrition.

He said the distribution takes place from Sept 24 to Oct 15, 2022 where an estimated of 43,000 milk packs worth RM70,000 will be allocated to five PPR locations within the Klang Valley and an estimated 8,094 households benefitting through the initiative.

The five selected PPR locations are PPR Sri Aman, Kepong (Sept 24), PPR Bukit Jalil 1 (Sept 25), PPR Laksamana, Jalan Peel (Oct 1), PPR Lembah Subang 2 (Oct 2) and PPR Kota Damansara (Oct 15).

In line with the brand’s campaign, MARIGOLD in collaboration with Sun Life Malaysia is also running a nationwide contest called ‘Grow with Every Challenge, Win Your Dream’, which starts from Sept 1 until Oct 31 this year.

Poh said the objective of this contest is to provide the opportunity for parents with young children to help realise their child’s dreams and aspirations with cash and prizes worth up to RM100,000.

Those who want to participate in the contest will need to purchase any of the following MARIGOLD UHT Milk products: 1-Litre (1 pack); 200ml x 6 packs (1 set) or 200ml x 3 packs (2 sets) and send the official receipt via WhatsApp to 017-560 0782 and answer one question to stand a chance to win.
