KUCHING, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- The Communications and Multimedia Ministry (K-KOMM) aims to distribute 80 per cent of devices under the PerantiSiswa Keluarga Malaysia programme by the end of November.
Its Minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa said that, as of yesterday, the ministry had received 350,000 applications under phases one and two, and the handover schedule for phase one was being actively arranged.
“To ensure all recipients get their devices fast, we will process the phase one and phase two applications simultaneously. We will also do an ongoing rollout.
“We will hand the devices over to applicants who fulfill all the conditions and are eligible,” he told a media conference after the PerantiSiswa handing-over ceremony here today.
At the event, a total of 411 students from Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) Kampus Batu Lintang and IPG Kampus Tun Abdul Razak received devices at the Sarawak state-level distribution session, which began today.
