GUA MUSANG, Sept 11 (Bernama) -- Pertubuhan Kerabat Raja Jembal Kelantan (PKRJK) will build a RM4 million Malay Jembal Sultanate Gallery in Kota Bharu soon, said its Yang Dipertua Nik Yusuf Nik Mohammad.
He said the gallery will house historical artifacts and heritage monuments about Raja Jembal who once ruled Kelantan in the 17th century.
"We will also ensure that all historical information and the reign of Raja Jembal for 95 years from 1638 to 1733 can be displayed for the knowledge and appreciation of the present and future generations.
"We have also submitted a proposal for the construction of this gallery to the State Museum Corporation and the state government and it has been approved by Deputy Menteri Besar, Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah," he told reporters during the Kelantan Malay Jembal Sultanate History Seminar at Gua Musang District Council Multipurpose Complex, here yesterday.
Commenting further, Nik Yusuf said that his team is also actively collecting funds to realise the construction of the gallery and hopes that more members of the public will donate.
"Donations can be channelled directly to the Jembal Sultanate Gallery through Maybank account number 553131014539," he said, adding that so far PKRJK has more than 5,000 registered members nationwide.
