ALOR SETAR, Sept 3 (Bernama) -- About 400 people, including civil servants, participated in the Fun Ride Programme held in conjunction with the Malaysian Family Aspirations Tour (AKM) in Kedah today.
The cycling programme, which started at 8.10 am at Dataran Pahlawan was also joined by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali, State Secretary Datuk Norizan Khazali and Kedah Youth and Sports Committee chairman Mohd Firdaus Ahmad.
Participants were divided into two categories, namely the public category, covering a distance of 25 kilometers (km), and the other, for civil servants, for a distance of 11 km.
The programme technical officer, Fauzan Fuad said the ride for participants in the public category ended at Dataran Pahlawan, while for civil servants, at Wisma Darul Aman building here.
During the ride, Mohd Zuki made a pit stop to deliver food baskets to the asnaf,” he said, when met after the flagging-off by Mohd Zuki.
Fauzan said there would also be lucky draws with attractive gifts for participants to take home, including a motorcycle.
The three-day Kedah AKM tour, held since yesterday at Darul Aman Stadium here, is the ninth edition after Johor, Perlis, Sabah, Terengganu, Perak, Kelantan, Sarawak and Selangor.
