Jalur Gemilang flying with pride at all 390 BSN branches nationwide

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- The Jalur Gemilang are seen flying at all 390 Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branches nationwide in response to the government’s call to fly the national flag prior to this year’s National Day and Hari Malaysia celebrations.

In a statement today, BSN said it also supports the government's efforts in encouraging Malaysians to display the Jalur Gemilang in conjunction with National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang celebrations which was launched at Dataran Putrajaya on July 30. 

In addition, the bank has encouraged its BSN Bank Agents (EB BSN) and mobile bank branches to join in the festivities.

It said  BSN has also planned exciting activities and campaigns especially for customers and staff, including the ‘Hari Bersama Pelanggan Edisi Hari Kebangsaan 2022” programme. 

Meanwhile, activities being planned for its employees include nationwide screening of the Mat Kilau movie and organising a day when staff are required to wear their national costume to work.

According to BSN chief executive Jay Khairil, apart from joining the launch of the Fly the Jalur Gemilang celebrations, BSN will also be participating in the Merdeka Day parade at Dataran Merdeka on Aug 31.

“We are excited to be able to take part in the Merdeka Day celebrations, especially after two years of complying with the many restrictions imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19,” he said.
