ARAU, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- A delegation from Mydin and the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) today visited 145 residents of the Arau Children's Home.
Bernama head of Broadcasting TV and Radio D. Arul Rajoo said the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative was in conjunction with the ‘Jom Kenali Bernama’ programme which runs until the end of the year.
"We handed over donations, in the form of daily necessities and vouchers worth a total of RM6,000," he told Bernama here.
Also present were assistant director of the Children's Division of the Perlis Social Welfare Department Norazizah Sharif and deputy principal of Arau Children's Home Mohd Hairi Hashim.
Meanwhile, Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad managing director Datuk Dr Ameer Ali Mydin said the CSR programme under MYDIN Prihatin was to help those in need get daily necessities such as food items and clothing.
