KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 (Bernama) -- Those with educational achievements and are highly skilled can help boost a country's productivity and increase its competitiveness, further ensuring that Malaysia becomes a prime location for investors, said Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) director-general Datuk Abdul Latif Abu Seman.
He said such a workforce would ultimately increase innovation and boost business revenue.
"Companies will be able to offer wage increases to highly skilled workers and further provide a better quality of life to the people. This is in line with the Shared Prosperity Organisation.
"Along with the digitalisation era, MPC is always proactive in providing facilitation for the development of local talent towards achieving the goals of the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 and 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP),” he said in a statement today,
In order to realise this, MPC will launch the Academy in Factory (AiF)portal, and AiF is being vigorously implemented throughout the country as an initiative to provide job opportunities and skills improvement to the local workforce.
Senior Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali will be in attendance at the AiF portal launch ceremony and AiF Open Day tomorrow (Aug 13).
