KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR) through its agency Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd (TalentCorp) continues to empower Malaysia's talents through the mynext initiative, launched today.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M Saravanan together with Higher Education Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad officiated the launch of mynext.

Saravanan in his speech during the launch said the mynext initiative is in line with the government's goal to produce knowledgeable, high quality and highly skilled employees that will be well-suited for today's economic landscape and job market.

"This effort will also raise the availability and marketability of Malaysia's talent and better equip them to face the challenges of a more competitive job market in this post-pandemic period," he said.

mynext comprises three main components which are mynext Talent, University and Company, while in its core is an all-in-one, easy-to-use system that brings students, companies and universities through an integrated talent solution and analytics platform.

mynext Talent aims to support talent, including students and individuals in the workforce by navigating their career path of which the talented will have access to five profiling tools that will enable them to discover their work values, interests, most employable traits, and connect them directly to prominent industry players. Apart from that, there is also an English competency assessment module.

Meanwhile, mynext University supports institutes of higher learning with data and information that will enable the development of training programmes and curricula that are in line with current industry demands, whilst addressing the needs of individual students.

In addition mynext supports the national workforce by integrating talent solutions and analytics onto one platform with a focus on connecting Malaysia's talent supply to future jobs.

As of July 2022, more than 170,000 talents across various educational institutions have registered on mynext and this will facilitate the channeling of talent in a more structured, effective and sustainable manner.

Through this collaboration, MOHR also hopes to assist MOHE in increasing the marketability of local graduates. The mynext initiative is also part of the MOHE's Graduate Employability Strategic Plan 2021-2025.

TalentCorp is a MOHR agency that drives Malaysia's talent strategy toward becoming a dynamic talent hub by the partnership with the public and private sectors on initiatives that attract, nurture and retain the right expertise needed to meet current and future talent demands.
