He was responding to a question by Datuk Che Abdullah Mat Nawi's (PAS-Tumpat) on  expected benefits from this year’s MAHA.

Ronald said MAHA 2020, with the theme 'Food Security For The Future' also provides career opportunities for young people and graduates who are looking for a job through the Job Guarantee Programme in the Agro Job Fair segment.

“More than 100 companies will participate in the programme, offering more than 15,000 job vacancies in various sectors," he added.

Ronald said the MAHA 2022 will be the main platform in the government's efforts, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI), to drive the recovery of the country's agro-food sector, in addition to helping the recovery of agricultural entrepreneurs, in terms generating income sources and further guaranteeing the country's food security.

He said MAHA 2022, which will be opened by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob this Saturday (Aug 6) at the Malaysian Agricultural Expo Park (MAEPS), Selangor, will showcase 1,500 exhibition and sale stalls of industry players and local entrepreneurs.

According to him,  MAHA 2022 is the first time to be organised in a hybrid way, which is a combination of physical and virtual.
