JOHOR BAHRU, June 27 (Bernama) -- A total of 137 candidates from government religious schools in the state scored excellent results in the Sijil Darjah Khas Agama (SDKA) 2021 examination with seven aggregates, compared to only 66 people in the previous year.
State Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid said a total of 16,429 candidates passed the examination while 3,248 candidates failed.
He added that Pontian emerged as the best district with a pass percentage of 98.55 per cent and a school average grade of 1.46.
“The best student in the SDKA 2021 examination is Alia Nur Batrisya Mohd Ilyas from Sekolah Agama Taman Mawar who obtained seven aggregates, namely straight As in 12 subjects with a pass percentage of 95.17 per cent,” he said in a statement today.
He also said that out of 20,404 registered candidates, only 19,677 candidates were present to sit for the examination.
Introduced n 1923, Darjah Khas Agama is the advanced and highest level of the Johor government religious school syllabus for students who have completed their studies in religious school from Standard One to Standard Six.
