KUALA TERENGGANU, May 25 (Bernama) -- The 'Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia' or Malaysian Family Aspirations (AKM) Tour will be held in Terengganu from June 2 to 4 at the Terengganu Sports Complex in Kuala Nerus.
The corporate unit of the State Secretary’s Office, in a statement today, said Terengganu was the fourth destination for the AKM Tour after Johor, Perlis and Sabah, and this time the Education Ministry had been chosen as the lead ministry for the programme with the main focus on 'Keluarga Malaysia Keluarga Berilmu'.
According to the statement, the AKM Tour is a continuation of the 100-Days of Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia event filled with service-orientated programmes, which was held at 14 locations throughout the country.
It said that the programme's objective was to ensure people at all levels will understand and appreciate AKM’s concept which emphasised inclusivity, common ground and contentment.
“It is in line with the manifestation of the government’s commitment and efforts in meeting the needs of the people.
“Apart from this, the AKM Tour is able to inform the public of the implementation of government initiatives and achievements at the state level throughout 2021 and 2022,” it added.
