SHARJAH (United Arab Emirates), May 21 (Bernama) -- Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) welcomes collaboration with more publishers from Asian countries to participate in book fairs or festivals in the future.
SBA’s Exhibitions and Festivals director Khawla Al Mujaini said, the agency was very interested in establishing cooperation, including with publishers from Malaysia.
“We are always open to collabration with Asian publishers, we are glad to see them, and yes we are looking forward to collaborating with them after this,” she told the media at the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) 2022, here, today.
Speaking on the feedback of SCRF 2022, Al Mujaini said there was much positive feedback on their social media from visitors.
“We have two days left (today and tomorrow), but so far as we can see, it is very crowded here,” she said.
On the last two days of the festival, people took advantage of their weekend break to visit the festival to buy books and participate in exciting events prepared for their children.
Groups of students also take the opportunity to experience activities among others the towering tree mascots with twisting branches crowned with a canopy of leaves.
The 13th edition of SCRF is taking place at Sharjah Expo Centre from May 11 to 22.
This year, the festival offers more than 1,900 activities, including 1,140 child activities, 120 cultural activities and 130 artistic performances and theatre productions.
