RAWANG, Jan 14 -- Bernama Radio news producer Farrah Idzana Hashim, who died yesterday, was buried at the Bandar Tasik Puteri Muslim cemetery here at about 6.15 pm today.
Farrah Idzana, who started her service as a broadcast journalist at Bernama Radio in 2012, died of heart inflammation at the National Heart Institute (IJN) at 10.40 pm. She was 36.
Her remains were brought from IJN to the Surau As-Sadiqqin here for the funeral prayers which were attended by family members, friends, colleagues and surrounding residents after Asar prayers.
Farrah Idzana’s brother, Fahmi Affendi, 41, said his sister started having a fever on Tuesday and was taken to a clinic for treatment before being taken to the KPJ Rawang Specialist Hospital.
“A check-up at KPJ Rawang found an infection in Farrah Idzana’s heart and we decided to bring her to IJN at about 6.30 pm yesterday. According to IJN, she died of heart inflammation,” he said.
He described Farrah Idzana, who was the youngest of five siblings, as a friendly and easy-going person.
