JADE MARVEL GROUP BHD's wholly-owned subsidiary, Jadem Trading Sdn Bhd has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Shandong Xinhai Mining Technology and Equipment to explore business opportunities in the area of mineral processing and solutions.

Xinhai is a turnkey solutions provider for mineral processing plants and has undertaken numerous mine projects with its overseas offices in Asia, South America and Africa.

“Jadem Trading would act as Xinhai’s distributor in Malaysia. The distributorship may be upgraded at a later stage to exclusive or sole distributorship should the sales meet the targets which are agreed by both parties,” the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

LAGENDA PROPERTIES BHD has appointed Tan Sri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin as its new non-executive chairman.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Lagenda said Ahmad Kamarulzaman has vast strategic management experience and established governmental and corporate relationships, including international networking.

“He is currently on the board of T7 Global Bhd, TRC Synergy Bhd, and OCR Group Bhd. He also has interest in healthcare and food security with other private companies,” it said.

TIKTOK's survey revealed that 54 per cent of Malaysians spent more time on social media during the Ramadan month.

Southeast Asia marketing communication manager Imran Khan said Malaysians are not just turning to online platforms for entertainment, but are also actively participating in sharing the joys of the festive season, publishing over 48 billion videos during the month of Ramadan in 2021.

“This presents a huge opportunity for businesses to tap into building conversations and connecting with highly engaging communities that gather and co-create on TikTok,” he said in a statement.

He also said that TikTok truly comes alive during Ramadan with a sharp increase in video views and videos created throughout the month, with over 32 billion views in  Ramadan 2021 alone, a 28 per cent increase compared to a non-Ramadan month.

MEDIA PRIMA TELEVISION NETWORK (MEDIA PRIMA) has collaborated with South Korea’s nationwide terrestrial broadcast network, Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) to produce the Malaysian edition of Korean hit reality show, “Master In The House”.

The one-hour and 10-episode “Master In The House Malaysia” follows the journey of five participating Malaysian celebrities as they discover and learn new skills and wisdoms from eight reputable masters.

Media Prima Television Networks and Primeworks Studios deputy chief executive officer Nini Yusof said her production team had the opportunity to learn from the finest throughout the experience, especially during the 10-day filming session with their Korean counterparts in October 2021.

“We are confident that the ideas, knowledge and capabilities exchanged will enable us to raise the bar and deliver more top-notch content with international production value,” she said in a statement.
