KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 21 – The SMART Tunnel is reopened to traffic since 11.10 am today upon completion of the cleaning works.
Syarikat Mengurus Air Banjir dan Terowong Sdn Bhd (SMART), in a statement, said the mechanical and electrical inspection and rectification process have also been carried out to ensure all equipment are in good condition and safe before the SMART Highway Tunnel is reopened for road users.
"SMART team and Tunnel Management will continue to monitor the needs of the SMART operation and ensure preparedness of the team is at its best at all times,” it said.
The tunnel was closed to users for the activation of the flood system following heavy rain\s since last Friday (Dec 17).
