KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 -- M. Bertrand Lortholary, Senior Official, Director for Asia and Oceania from the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, today paid a visit to the Malaysian National News Agency’s (Bernama) headquarters, here.
Accompanied by French ambassador to Malaysia Roland Galharague, Lortholary met with Bernama’s chairman Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi with both sides engaging in a conversation sharing matters of mutual interests.
Lortholary had earlier shared with Bernama’s Senior Editor Ravichandran D.J Paul and journalist Rosmalis Anuar on France’s role and vision for the Indo-Pacific and that the region will be a priority when France takes over the European Union Presidency next year.
He arrived here today from Jakarta after accompanying French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian during an official visit to Indonesia.
The seasoned French diplomat will leave to Manila and then Brunei before heading back home.
