MOSQUES NEED TO SET EXAMPLE FOR SOCIETY - PERLIS RAJA MUDA PERLIS
KANGAR -- Mosques should set examples for the communities they serve to continue complying fully with the safety and health standard operating procedures (SOP), Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail said in a statement issued by the Perlis Islamic Religious Affairs and Malay Customs Council.
Mosques have a role to educate the public to understand the importance of SOP compliance to reduce the risk and spread of COVID, he said, adding that SOP compliance during prayers at mosques should also be similarly practised in other places, including markets, workplaces, shops and at home.
“Prayers influence Muslims’ lives, from observing cleanliness to obeying orders of leaders (or governments),” he added.
