KUALA LUMPUR, July 23 -- The OKU Sentral Drive-Thru Vaccination Centre at the Sime Darby Plantation Center today was used to demonstrate UV Disinfection Robots produced by UVD Robots in Denmark.
OKU Sentral president Senator Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi was the guests of honour at the disinfection demonstration by Alfallah Cleantech Sdn Bhd, the sole distributors of the product in Malaysia. Also present was Alfallah Cleantech Sdn Bhd executive chairman Datuk Tan Sing Chia.
Interviewed by Bernama at the event, Ras Adiba said the disinfection robots would be a huge relief to frontliners serving in hospitals during the COVID -19 pandemic.
She said sanitisation was one of the best ways to save lives, especially now when cases were spiking, and that such autonomous devices could decrease the chances of people being infected.
UVD Robots’ devices have been clinically tested by the University of Boston, and proven to kill the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The devices have also won many international awards and widely accepted and used worldwide, and cost between RM380,000 to RM400,000 depending on the model.
According to Alfallah Cleantech’s senior marketing manager Sigamani Kuppusamy they are planning to expand sales to hospitals and malls to counteract the growing infection rates.
