SHAH ALAM, June 14 -- Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) today announced the appointment of Prof Dr Mohd Sazili Shahibi as the new deputy vice-chancellor (Student Affairs), replacing Prof Dr Azizan Abdullah, effective today.
UiTM, in a statement today, said that Mohd Sazili, 51, is an expert in the information systems and technology field, as well as e-trade, and has served the university for almost 20 years in various level of management, academic and student leadership.
UiTM said Mohd Sazili was also the recipient of the Asia Education Leadership Award by the CMO Asia & World Education Congress in 2018, as a recognition of his leadership qualities and excellence in handling education issues.
“As the new deputy vice-chancellor of students affairs, Mohd Sazili is hoped to continue highlighting the quality and excellence of student management, in line with the UiTM 2025 strategic plan’s objective to become the world’s leading university,” read the statement.
UiTM also thanked the Higher Education Ministry for the appointment, and expressed its deepest appreciation to Azizan for his service and leadership during his tenure.
